Avira. I use it because it caught what AVG would not. That and AVG has had a poor history of not updating due to the update servers either being down or the program breaking when it did update.

So my anti-virus is Avira and has been and will be.

I have not settled in on a good anti-spyware program probably because there aren't any as far as I have seen.

I was using Ad-Aware for a long time just to scan once every couple of months. I switched to SuperAntiSpyware actually had the pay version for a while but it just had issues. I ran into instances where it would bug up and not want to load properly and things like that so I gave up on it.

Currently I am using IOBit Security 360 RC I think it is causing issues with 7 though so I wouldn't recommend it just yet. I may change that opinion once I figure out if it really is the cause of the problem or not. But until I am sure it is not something I would suggest using.

Try to download it, a message will appear saying that they have stopped the download. However, you can get it from many other sites. Search Google.

    Avast.

I have been using Avast for the past 2/3 years and combined with Comodo left me with a system uninfected despite being connected to a university student halls network absolutely plagued with viruses etc.

Haven't settled on a firewall this time around as I'm awaiting on a Windows 7 supported version of Comodo.

Comodo works just fine in Windows 7. I had it up and going with no issues (64-bit). Just too many damn prompts for me though.

I use Comodo (with everything but the firewall component off) and NOD32 x64, once a week I do Malawarebytes and Spybot scans, I also use spybots immunization to block known bad sites in the hosts file. Maybe I'm paranoid, but........

Comodo is yet to submit its product to Virus Bulletin for testing. Because of this, I will be avoiding them
