    Unsure of Files

Recently I caught a virus on my laptop, but I took care of it manually and everything went well. However, something caught my eye when I checked back in the folder. There were two hidden folders, both with randomized letters and numbers like the viruses, with one holding a file with an unknown file extension.

    Hidden Folders | File

I have an Acer Aspire 5742-6458 laptop, if that information is necessary.

The files were in my AppData, the virus itself being in the Temp folder.

Are these files safe, or relative to the virus?

    EDIT:
If this is useful information, the virus was named MSASCUi.exe (Windows Defender Anti-Spyware).

Delete them. Those were definitely created by a virus.

Infact you should use CCleaner as most malware create 'bad' files and folders there. A very nice temp file cleaner with other misc. features. Just don't poke into the registry section unless & until you know what are you doing.
