    Thanks Dinesh, You you are Soooo cheerful! No mate, I will wait and see what Kerpersky boot disk can do and wait for any more suggestions. I have another laptop to use. So with the old motto Nil Bastadio Corborundem.. Anyone from the Bay Area must have a solution!! Great place but those cold mists!!!

    My computer is clean and going again. OK what I did (with your help) was this: CNet download Rskill prog (free). Ran RSkill from a USB thumb drive. It did it's job and left a dialogbox --Run your virus checker etc (not verbatim) and I ran MS Security essential and got a clean result. My wife is using the computer now!! I have a text report and a Reg File on the desktop from Rskill...

    So thank you both for your help. Have a good day\night in India and the USA....

    Suggest you run Malwarebytes as well, I wouldn't give it a clean bill of health just yet I would follow up with the steps in this link:
