    Infamous happili virus

Hello. Recently I have been infected with the happili virus. It has all the symptoms of other users, with hijacked searched results leading to spam pages. I don't know how long I have it as I do not search on this computer often, but it is still a pain to have. Any help in getting this issue resolved would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Happili redirect virus is a browser hijacker, it is also known as Google redirect virus and it is caused by a trojan tdss infection. You need to remove tdss by installing TDSS KILLER tool made by Kaspersky,, then reset your HOSTS file which can be found in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\ETC

Also scan your computer with Malware Bytes or Super anti spyware.

I was attempting to go through the steps, however combofix will never finish. It gets through stage 50 and will then sit there and do nothing, i waited almost 30 mins with no movement after that.

Did you run it as an administrator, ie: right click and select run as administrator?
