post-wmupdate virus issues: some files still existing are not visible

    Hi,
    my computer contracted wmupdate virus.
I tried to solve this problem following this thread:
Post-wmupdate virus issues: slow file copy, photoshop runtime errors

    I followed those steps:
    - install&use of Malwarebytes
    - use of System Restore (avalaible only for "C" hard-disk of the OS and programs but not avalaible for "D", the hard-disk of personal documents)

Now OS and partial of the desktop are restored however is still present an issue: the D-hard-disk's folders looks like empty but when I went to check its properties the hard disk is still full of Gb of files.

I checked some links from desktop to the hard disk and are still working, and when I open them, the folder linked appears empty. The same is for other folders on the desktop.

I think files and directories are still there but something in the system does not allow me to see them.
Any advice that could be given to solve my problem would be greatly greatly appreciated.
