If you are looking for a firewall and an antivirus, look no further than windows firewall and MSE.
Who knows windows better than microsoft.

I just mean is the firewall worth it compared to something like commando..

I used commando, MSE, windows firewall, and stormsheild all together
I know its overkill but they all work together... but if I wanted to get rid of comando and mse would Nod32 ESET comparable could it do both? or would run all together

I doubt that they are working together. They are mostl likely conflicting and slowing down your pc. Just use MSE and Windows Firewall.

Even if you don't see any conflicts, slowdowns or freezes, I would question the effectiveness of that install. Are they all actually active? Have you checked event viewer logs for any verification? And have you actually performed any kind of testing for effectiveness?

What do you mean by test it?
MSE is trusted by the magority of operators, and all answers recommand it, but it's your choice.
