    Two csrss.exe processes

    Heya.

I have two csrss.exe processes running.
They have different memory usage, PID and session IDs yet are both running from system32 and under the SYSTEM User Name.

This computer only has one user account and the second one (with the session ID 0) can only been seen after clicking the show processes from all users button.

Anyone know if this is normal?

    nums,

I was curious about the same issue, I am also configured with one user and my information looks the same as yours.

I did some internet searching and I think this is normal, our locations are correct and I found seeing one as session 0 and one as session 1 is normal. If you had more user accounts there would be more entries of this proccess.

Hope this helps, mabe one of the more tech savey users will confirm -- All the best --Bill

There can be more than 2 sessions when you use fast user switching or remote desktop.
