like a bull thru a china shop; agressive win7 virus.

hello; i have been testing out addons and application extentions for firefox (beta testing newest browser version), google chrome and IE9. i had a few scares before but this took the trophy. I was installing random language translators (basic apps) and ran across a buffalo bills sports app for firefox. well not long after visiting their actual site i first had a browser hijaker messing with me it was weird it was opening ie to change my firefox browser windows to another site; took care of that. i had a windows update (never did dl it) and suddenly odd process behavior problems which are not limited but include: programs by apple software and the actual aol isp prog popping up in my folders fully installed with ipod n cloud software running amok n bonjour showing up left right and center. a signal appeared resembling network broadcast that shut itself off when we tried 2 access it nothing we did would work as a key but it was there on port8888. new user profile set up with better permissions than my admin acc which the user profile changed names a few times. (already quintuple checked all progs there is no progs that had anything matching the user(s) that appeared). i ended up locking down everything with my net already being long since unhooked. ended up trying to block svchost files that were acting during the malware (if that) atk. had an epic battle with windows firewall whatever it was wouldnt allow me to shut off nat connects along with everything else. ~ i had pandacloud av (free) and at the time full antimalware bits n bytes. well i finally won i had thought; the anti vir and ant mal only came up with tracking and unknown cookies but still strange behavior moment i got that all stopped (kept finding track cookies w/ no net several sweepsz n deletes and cookie wipes). got everything to act normal i walk away for 1hr come back and its saying my windows isnt valid. i adjusted the firewall accourdingly and it said i was fine. 2hrs later windows wont load and a "patch" wont let me repair it with disk. i install n grab my media n during that all the aol n apple prog were re~writing themselves like wildfire minutes after delete even in my windows.old and the windows.old folder from over a year ago!. one moment i even saw space on c go red bar with 56gb space left and its a 2tb hd who was siting at 1.04tb used 2min prior; 5min after space was reg again. comp was locked down still couldnt do anything; it couldnt even install the wireless adapter drivers n prog disk properly leaving it in this quasi existance state where the disk sais its there it shows in the directory but wouldnt work and would not truely uninstall even by directly ripping it out manually. now ive formatted my drive partitioned 500gb chunk off to the side and did not touch the system reserve section giving a fresh install right now. let ya know how it goes but has anyone heard of any behaviors matching anything that i said? sorry for no screenies n lack of specs using samsung seek crap cell to write n i am exauhsted. if anyone has answers please reply. ty!

im on a tiny ass screen with a j2e browser and any miss buttoning or tapping of the touch screen throws me off the site and off the net =.=

if i could quickly break it up i would. but its not everything that happened anyways. i just have no comp convinence.

i will repair the post asap when i get to a comp; in the meantime i cant post again my cells rejecting the site a lot. im not sure if this will get thru.

ty and if a mod swings by maybe they could be really nice and sparce it?

Probably your best/safest option in this case would be to wipe the drive & do a clean install. Save your personal files to another storage medium & after a clean install, scan them carefully to ensure they don't let something back onto your system.

    Clean Install Windows 7

Your other options are to try running a Bootable AV rescue disk

    Windows Defender Offline

    What is Windows Defender Offline?

This site contains several rescue disks.

Free Bootable AntiVirus Rescue CDs Download List

Note: Kaspersky has caused problems in the past with Windows 7, if they have remedied this problem, I do not know, so it might be wise to try some of the other disks first.
