Allowing a standard user to access cd/dvd media

I have just recently set up a business laptop for someone with windows 7 ultimate. I set the user as a standard user and the IT department as admins. After doing this, one weekend the user was trying to view a cd in the cd drive, but it requested the admin password. He only needed to view the info an not downoad anything. I was thinking a standard user could do this without having to be an admin. Is there a way to keep this user as a standard user but have access to view a cd/dvd?

Allowing a standard user to access cd/dvd media

    Hi,
My name is Abhi and I work for Social media and Community at Dell.
I just went through your query. As far as I know a standard user should be able to play or view the contents in a cd unless your company has a separate win 7 image or polices. But if the cd automatically runs; ie autorun.exe then it might ask for admin password. The best way to check that would be to play an audio CD

    Regards
