Open MSE. Click on small down arrow next to Help > click on About Security Essentials. Another dialog box will open with current MSE info.

Microsoft Security Essentials refuse to open!
Hi, When i'm clicking on the MSE icon, a windows pop-up and disappear automatically. I try to restart then my cpu ask me if I want to allow web component/"messenger.exe" (??). What should a do? Try to reinstall MSE, download a new Spyware, or ???. I hope i've been clear... Thank you for helping.
