Sorry for lack of version details.
Win 7 Pro in a dual-boot config (I had Linux as the primary boot up option which could have been the issue). Updated the main Malwarebytes Free program after a pop-up, installed and it required a restart. Constant boot-loop after that. I switched Win 7 to be the main boot option but each time the OS booted up and loaded into the desktop, it would auto shut down and commence the re-boot boot loop (i let it for four occasions).
In the end i had to go into safe mode and totally remove Malwarebytes to recover the situation. I'm not sure what version exactly of Malwarebytes caused this, but it was an update from a couple of days ago.
So just to warn other Win 7 dual-booters just in case they come across this situation. I've been looking around for other reports of this but not really found any yet.
