I scanned img29.jpg several times, nothing was found and no hangs.
I uploaded the file to Virus Total and it shows nothing found in 51 scanners.
Now I feel like I have something wrong on my PC, because this file is "clean"
This might be a prime example of a third party false alarm of a built in windows file/ theme ?

Malwarebytes has had more than a few false positive in the past on just websites so it wouldn't be outrageous to say this is a false positive rootkit detection,
    Cheers.

My Trojan was not found in a oem Windows picture. It was found here.

Trojan: Boaxxe in file x86 asus aasp 1.01.02 pow nap.dll

I and others were noticing that scans slowed way down when scanning certain pictures.
I just remove the pictures because I have never used them and never will.
Do a search for img29.jpg on your system. Let us know if you want that as a desktop.

Minor update to Mbam 2.0 probably next week. Maybe just some cosmetic changes but we will see. Expect a lot of updates in the near future as they are working on the bugs.

Which there seems to be a few that are deal breaker for me sticking with 1.75
    I'm loosing interest in 2.0
The absolute slowest scanner ever developed and will not abort a scan ?
Reopen and the silly thing is still where it was stuck prior.

I think the reason is Malwarebytes doesn't know whether you or a infection is trying to stop if from scanning. So it just keeps scanning.
I really don't have a problem with that.
If I don't want it to scan I won't start the scan.

You have to use task manager, PITA.

Yes Rich I killed it in task manager but it does little good as far as the next time I open it it's still stuck in the custom scan,
Although the second time I didn't have to use task manager to kill it,
But the scanner was still stuck where it was before ?

Your correct Bear it doesn't find anything it's just stuck,
This is the second time different spot I deleted the funky themes which all of them are useless to me,

I believe it's an issue with the activation key after updating the second time it shows real time protection is disabled and can not be fixed,

MABM finally replied to my help inquiry and I sent them the log files they requested,
I've used system restore a second time to re-downloaded 1.75... updated/ scanned and nothing found,
Real time protection is back on,
    Very bazar situation.

When I used TM it ended the process. I was no longer stuck, but I did not have a full scan either. It went back to start.
