Minor update released today. You will get a notification through Updates. Ver 2.0.1.1004. Mostly just cosmetic.

    https://forums.malwarebytes.org/inde...58#entry813572

In about 2-3 weeks we're going to release yet another patch that will fix about ~30 bugs that have been reported or we've discovered. We wanted to make sure the UI issues were addressed first since we had some really great feedback from everyone.
To get the update, please download it from our website, or if you're already running 2.0, just check for updates. Starting Monday, we will start slowly migrating 1.75 users to 2.0; this is currently disabled. If you do not wish to participate, please make sure you've disabled the program updates on the Update Settings tab in 1.75.

Thanks for that heads up. I had to check to make sure but I already have updates set to notify only.

It still hangs for me on those W7 sample images.
Process Monitor shows no activity during the hang.
Task Manager shows I/O Other bytes flowing.
(Perhaps just moving the animation. I don't understand "Other".)

The hang that I'm testing uses these settings:

    Latest Version of Malwarebytes-mbam.png

    Have you tried that?

I'll uncheck that and see if it helps. Going to bed and will let it scan as I sleep. Last time I did that awoke to the BSOD. A Guy

    The installation and scan setup:

Notice the periods where mbam does nothing:

    20+ minutes with no activity:

More than an hour later and there has been no progress on that image...
    ...or the hang/freeze is permanent.
    edit: it did eventually continue.

The W7 Virtualbox VM has 2 of the host's 8 GB.

edit: I added a tiny portion of the 3GB Process Monitor log. This portion starts one event prior to mbam scanning img28 and ends at an arbitrary time designed to make the file small enough to upload/post. It looks like (and the 3rd video kind of shows) that mbam completes its processing of img28 (and other images) but the display does not show those items being processed. mbam clearly hangs for quite some time, but the "img28 file" being displayed is not the one currently being worked on when the hang happens. You can see this in the Process Monitor log. (I do realize that having Process Monitor running slows down mbab, but these hangs happens without Process Monitor or Task Manager running.)

Well if it is the one I ma thinking of Gary I have not had a reply yet so am still none the wiser as to whether I can transfer the full lifetime version I have on my tester to my main machine.
The problem was that up until recently Kaspersky and MBAM used to clash a bit hence putting it on my tester in case the problem still existed when I activated it again.

I am not up for paying each year for it and am disappointed that offer from Newegg wasn't repeated elsewhere even from MBAM itself

Hum see that link shows up now it didn't in Gary's post.
