Steph try the version Dave listed in POST 355, it has worked for me taking about 20-22 minutes for a complete scan of two drives.

Still sitting back using the 1.75 version, waiting until the bugs are worked out of the new version, and watching the show. Pardon me while I get some more popcorn.

Beta V1004 did the same thing to me Stephie. I updated to V1007 and it fixed that problem on both computers.
I have not done anymore updates to the version. I going to wait awhile.

Since I updated to 2.0.2.1009, full scan, with rootkit, no issues whatsoever. Knock head. A Guy

There have been several additional beta versions released after the original 2.0.1.1004 version your screenshot says you're still using, including 2.0.2.1010 just released.

The notes say a number of issues in the original 2.0.1.1004 (which you're running) have been corrected. You might try the latest beta version.
Thank you dsperber I will try the latest beta :)

Is the one off lifetime offer still available for MBAM? I haven't been home for a while so the machine I would have put it on may have to stay with the free version.
Here's one in Oz John, PC & Tech Authority Software Store - Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium v2 - 24% off RRP
Thanks for the link Gary as this was a last resort for me to obtain a lifetime license as having pursued the newegg.com specials posted in this thread a while back proved fruitless and wouldn't accept my order.

You're welcome IOAP, that site seems to be the last one with others redirecting to it.

Hi , I was running the Mbam 1009 Beta version , do I need to completely remove that version to update to the new Beta version?

    Thanks

I installed 1010 Beta over the top of 1009 Beta without any problems.

In the past I have had issues installing a new version of MBAM where some file(s) couldn't be copied or renamed because they were open or in use.
I don't remember the exact error.

What I do now to install a new version:

    Download the latest MBAM installer
Download the latest MBAM clean utility (just in case I have issues and need it)
Reboot - I use Hybrid sleep and it's normal for me to NOT have rebooted in days (or weeks).

    Disable the network adapter
    Disable real-time Anti Virus protection
    Exit WinPatrol
    Exit Malwarebytes

    Run the MBAM installer
(If there are problems, I would run the MBAM clean utility and reboot as needed)

    Enable real-time Anti Virus protection
    Enable the network adapter
    Update the MBAM definitions

    Reboot
    WinPatrol starts automatically after reboot
Make sure everything is running correctly
Sometimes it takes a couple of reboots

I disable the network adapter because I don't like disabling all security programs and being connected to the network, even for a short period of time.
    Paranoia, perhaps...

Disabling the network adapter is not part of the "MBAM update instructions", and I've never read anyone suggest doing it.
I've done it this way for the last few version updates I've done, and it hasn't caused any problems for me.

I know this may sound too complicated and time consuming, but for me
It has allowed a version update without errors that cost me more time to correct after a failed update ...
