Just a heads up on roll back

From some things I've read I think there are issues using a Restore Point to go back to Ver 1.
The safest way imho is to restore a System Backup Image from before updating to Ver 2.

If you don't have a System Backup Image, I'd use the mbam-clean utility to remove Ver 2 and then re-install Ver 1.

I'm using Ver 2 and don't have all the issues I'm reading about.
    For me, it works better.
I normally use a Standard/Limited account and with Ver 1 I was limited in what I could do and when it alerted me.
With Ver 2, it tells me when the DB is out of date, and I can Update it...

With the friends and family I help, I suggest they wait a few weeks before updating to Ver 2 ...
There are issues reported with Ver 2 and I don't want to have someone update to Ver 2, and I have to fix it remotely via Teamviewer.
I was the one that suggested (and installed) MBAM for them.
Thanks. I don't have a System Backup Image, so if I do decide to get rid of V2, I'll use the MBAM-Clean utility.

Anyone know how long v1.75 will be supported with database updates? I am strongly considering a roll back.

    Forever,
Upgrading to 2.0 is purely optional,

I decided to update my free MBAM to 2.0 tonight, and I'm not really digging it. The new interface looks unappealing to me, and actually seems less simple than the previous one. The threat scan took twice as long as usual (although it may have been scanning more folders and files than before, I'm not sure), and it takes a while for the tray icon to disappear after I close the window (and I can't reopen it until after the icon disappears).

Part of me is tempted to go back to the previous version, but I don't know if it's because I have legitimate problems with this version or I'm just nervous about the changes. I'll try to stick with it until the end of the week. If I don't warm up to it by Monday, I might roll back.

I updated a Test system from my Admin account using the "Program Updater".
It took about 3 reboots with my Standard account before Active Protection would work when starting Windows.

Minor update released today. You will get a notification through Updates. Ver 2.0.1.1004. Mostly just cosmetic.

    https://forums.malwarebytes.org/inde...58#entry813572

In about 2-3 weeks we're going to release yet another patch that will fix about ~30 bugs that have been reported or we've discovered. We wanted to make sure the UI issues were addressed first since we had some really great feedback from everyone.
To get the update, please download it from our website, or if you're already running 2.0, just check for updates. Starting Monday, we will start slowly migrating 1.75 users to 2.0; this is currently disabled. If you do not wish to participate, please make sure you've disabled the program updates on the Update Settings tab in 1.75.
