Me too, I've not had any updating issues....so far. The 1007 and 1010 versions automatically did definition updates right after installing.

New 2.0.2.1012 Public Beta version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware released.

Build 2.0.2.1012 is now available. One issue discovered during testing of the last beta where some items were not detected which should have been by scans was fixed.

Thanks David. I'm using the 1010 beta and the auto definition update doesn't work but I have a thread on the MBAM forum about it.

Spoke too soon. Belive an update has borked it. I get multiple systray icons, that when I hover over them, they all disappear. If I click update in the program itself, Windows tells me it stopped working. I restored to an image from last weekend, and the previous version, same thing. That's what makes me think it was an update, because it was working fine then. Quite disappointed in MBAM just now

    MBAM Beta Releases

I've tried most of the recent MBAM Beta releases but not one of them has worked smoothly.

I'm sure that they will iron out the problems. For the time being I will stick to MBAM v1.75 but issues with the Beta releases of MBAM have led me to try alternative solutions - one of which I'm keeping installed!

Sorry to hear that, no fun at all ...
I'm surprised to hear restoring an image didn't help ...
What I would do now if I had this issue is run the MBAM-CLEAN utility and install the latest BETA version using these instructions:

I've had program update problems in the past, and it's no fun losing all the settings, license, etc. and having to re-do it all.
That's why I now do a program update like this:

It looks like you have a similar "real-time" security configuration to what i have on my test system ...
    Avast, MBAM, WinPatrol.

I did the full uninstall, reinstall thing before I restored a system image. It seems obvious an automatic update must be at fault since the restored system image immediately exhibited the same issue, even though it was working fine then, and for days afterwards.

Comodo firewall, Zemana Antilogger, Superantispyware Pro, Keyscrambler, EMET, Hitman Pro Alert... All play well together, no slowdowns or anything negative.
