    Removing Babylon

I understand this is a right bitch to remove. Well, guess what? I've got it on my old computer! Tried everything I know of. I finally got rid of the toolbar, but Babylon's still in charge of my browser. Nope, no Google when starting the computer anymore. Now I get that damn Babylon in the corner! I found Babylon in a folder called "DOMStorage", along with a folder called "Total" I deleted Babylon and left Total 'cause I didn't know what it was for. Nope, I still get Babylon as a homepage. What's worse is that if I use Firefox I get a pop-up message saying:

    "Assertion failed!
    Program:_
    File common\npn_gate.cpp
    Line:267
    Expression: pPluginShim"

And yep, Babylon is on Firefox and Internet Explorer. Any help? I understand it's a type of virus?

Close F.F. first and then find C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\extensions\ffxtlbr@babylon.com and delete that folder. Should do it.

Nope, still can't find it. And all I found in the Firefox extensions folder was a folder called "{972ce4c6-7e08-4474-a285-3208198ce6fd}"

Funny thing is my brother got this on his xp machine like a day ago after he mentioned how it was slow and that firefox kept redirecting his pages and asking me what the hell is Babylon toolbar. Was a pain to remove for me,had to jump through the registry and use scanners and all that with a couple reboots to finish the remove process.I used this tutorial on how to remove it to help me out.
Remove Babylon Toolbar and "Search the web (Babylon)" (Uninstall Guide)

Also used Search and destroy to scan the pc and it picked up a couple traces of Babylon that I missed and a couple other crap that was in his system and removed them.Would be good to scan with malawarebytes too,to see if you got anything else.

Link to spybot"search and destroy: http://www.filehippo.com/download_sp...earch_destroy/
    Malwarebytes:http://www.filehippo.com/download_ma..._anti_malware/

Also if you have been on cnet,I advise staying away from their site and avoid downloading from there.Has been know to distribute this bar from what I have heard and other crap ware.If you need to download software go to filehippo or majorgeeks which is safer and doesn't give out bloatware and bars like this.
