    Need security advice

Hello all, i want to secure my desk top PC. beyond the usual password security.

i am interested in Biometric finger print readers and disc encryption.

i am currently running windows 7 pro. with malwarebytes and security essentials.
i have had NO problems with attacks or viruses. this security would be for online and home use.

    ideas and suggestions please.

    thanks, Dave

    Hi Dave,

Truecrypt is a free open-source disk encryption suite. You can completely encrypt partitions, but it is complex and not without risk. Take a look at their tutorials and documentation on the site. Page 33 of the user guide covers full Disk Encryption.
TrueCrypt - Free Open-Source Disk Encryption - Documentation

If you find that too complex, take a look at this, which is a more secure version of simple password security:
SysKey - Create USB Key to Lock or Unlock Windows

    Regards,
