Many many good ones to choose from. Follow the links posted or just search "free anti-virus", then read the reviews. Major Geeks is a good place as is Softpedia.

Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1

Kingsoft antivirus 2012 and it is totally free- it is a cloud based antivirus program
Very light on resources, can run alongside almost any other antivirus program except Windows Defender in 8

Just remember, the best AV will not help you if you don't employ common sense. If something looks suspicious or too good to be true, either research it or ignore it. No AV is 100% and the final decision comes down to you on what you use. Keep your AV defs updated as new variants of viruses are released every day.

Windows 7 Ultimate x64

You can download either Avast free antivirus or Microsoft Security essentials .
Both have good detection rates and are well trusted .

I suggest Microsoft Security Essentials; light, gets the job done, non-intrusive. Avast used to be nice, but nowadays its largely become bloatware.

My AVG was having problem's and I can't get it to work. I uninstalled. Is there one that is free and works good for Windows 7? Or is there something I can do too fix my old one? (if I were to re-download)
