need to buy a new complete protection suite any recommendations?

Hey everyone, I have been using Eset SS5 and my license runs out in a couple of days.

therefore it's that time again that I have to think do I stick with ESS or do I move to something else? I have heard fights over bitdefender total and kaspersky pure being the best I could get right now with no inclusion of Eset anywhere...

    so what i'm asking is:
    what should I use?

If you want and need a "Suite" type I would recommend Eset Smart Suite.
I use MSE with Windows Firewall along with MBAM and SAS which are all free!

I'm of the belief of not paying for something that I can get for free. So two thumbs up for MSE. I've been using it since it first came out as a beta and have never looked back.

just looked @ av-comparitives, seems MSE has a 95.8% detection rate, eset has 97.5%, BD 97.6%, norton 95.5% and kaspersky has 97%...so apparently, BitDefender is the best..

I googled "MSE" and found some reports that its detection rate has been as low as 85% before so that has put me off MSE atleast even though in the latest test 95.8 is quite high.

hard choice >.< I am using a Kaspersky trial right now on a virtual machine and its taking 50mb of ram where as eset was 25mb, but that doesnt matter anyway.

It really boils down to you and the sites and e-mails that you visit along with a decent firewall at your side.
Suites use to be loaded with bloatware but haven't paid for one in over 4 years so I am not sure what the new suites come with.

Eset (what i was using) had a firewall, parental controls (i switched on if my brother or cousin was using pc) and it also came with https protection and a web detection kit as well as the real time scanning with built in rootkit scanning integrated into that. as for kaspersky im not sure as i only ever used a trial.

And as for websites, I visit a lot of games private servers (i wont name which because idk if im allowed to), so thats java and flash, some offline clients too.

so for me to be able to do that and the occasional download. what would you recommend as a setup.. paid or free just what you would personally use, and i do have hitman pro/mbam 1.7 BETA installed already.
