Windows firewall problem.

    Windows firewall problem.


    Hi,

    I have noticed that my windows firewall has turned off and wont start. My mcafee firewall turns of automatically when I click turn on. I used to malwarebytes software as I read about it when researching. It detected 2 rootkit softwares and deleted safely. but I still cant get the firewall to work.. Please help..

    Are you the administrator of the computer? If so you can turn it on. If not I think you can't.

    You don't want to use the Windows Firewall and the McAfee Firewall together. Only one firewall should be used.

    You post are hard to understand.
    If you have McAfee firewall active it will turn off Windows 7 Firewall. As has been posted by Bigmck, one at a time.
    Because McAfee is malware in my opinion I suggestion removing everything McAfee from your computer. Using their on line removal tool. Then I suggest installing MSE and using the built in Windows 7 Firewall.

    Well I am the administrator. Well Oh really. Than I guess my mcafee firewall doesn't work well. It turn off when I click turn on within seconds. I dont know how to fix this.. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling.. but no luck..
