Windows Firewall will not start at all.

A few days ago I found that my computer had been infected via a flash exploit. BFE and Windows firewall registry setting were removed. After recovering and fixing the registry settings, firewall won't start now, whether it's through the control panel or services.msc. When I do it through control panel, I get the loading cursor and can't do anything, followed by it just suddenly going away and nothing happens. When I try starting it through services.msc I get a could not start service on local computer error. There is no issues with the Firewall driver, the only other firewall I've tried to use is the AVG internet protection one that stopped working the day I installed it. Windows firewall worked afterwards. I've been looking for fixes, I've tried reinstalling it(Didn't work), I've done an SFV Scan(I think that's what it's called), and nothing worked. I think the files are missing or something. Has this or a similar thing happened to anyone else? Any help would be appreciated.
