Gpedit Software settings folder empty

Why in gpedit the software settings folder is empty and what does it do anyway? I am guessing they are restrictions for software but it is empty. I have Win 7 Ultimate.

What is the path to the folder that you are finding empty?

hey when ever it try to open any folder in my computer its shows folder is empty even it has files in it then on task bar green ribbon runs for some time and then it shows files in folder...this wont be happening someday ago but now m getting this problem...i installed new window 8.1 someday...

GPEDIT Firewall Settings not staying put!
I have some security settings that I need to incorporate and well, they are not staying set!! I need to enable the Firewall logging settings via gpedit, and every time I uncheck the box to enable it and save it, it always disables itself. Any help? Thanks.
