I don't know what OTL is frodi as a Google ame up with all sorts of stuff. But I have snipped a few of the files listed in your registry which is why I thought you were using FF they might require getting rid of as they still might be interfering with KIS but wait till Jacee replies again don't go off what I say.
Those refs may be legit but I have never seen these before in any KIS that I have installed. However they could be something to do with Java I really don't know just that I am suspicious of anything that appears like that which I know I haven't put anything on for.
Local\Updater26276 ... Let's check this out.
Download AdWareCleaner AdwCleaner Download to your desktop
1.Right-click on adwcleaner.exe and select Run As Administrator to launch the application.
2.Click on Delete button.
3.Confirm each time with OK.
4.Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart. Please post the content of that logfile in your reply.
Note: You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[Sn].txt as well - n is the order number.
wow ICit, I cannot even find ff on my pc! I never installed it, what is going on here?
ICitlol, I found those ff files, they sit in the Kaspersky Application.
Mate I don't know what to make of those entries Jacee would know more than I - I just assumed yuo had been using Firefox or some such app that uses it.
But is that OTL a security thing from bleeping computer? as it is the nearest thing I can find for those initials. It refers to something called Oldtimer Listit in that site.
Download OTL http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/OTL.exe
Jacee gave me that to dl, and all those files you see come from that OTL, I would like to remove all those registry entries it made, but there seem to be heaps of them.
Well I am at loss because my registry entires for the Kaspersky make no mention of Firefox and I have been through all of those entires in the pic.
Maybe Jacee can throw some light on it??
I searched for ff and that is how they were brought up.
