Firewall configuration rules for Win 7 FW?

Can someone share his configuration rules for the Win 7 FW or is there something like a public shared collection? Some time ago I used Agnitum Outpost Pro and really likes that they had a database behind which suggested rules for many common (and less common) programs. Now I would like to use the build-in Win 7 FW but don't know which rules are the best.

Which rules are "best" depends solely on how you use our machine. Are you using a NAT router?

No, currently I am behind some I-dont-know WLAN router of my appartment building, based on MAC address of my notebook.

I would examine my Outpost list and re-create the entries in the new firewall.

I know this isn't the answer you are looking for.

Yeh, I do not have the Outpost anymore ;-) Well, actually I thought that people tend to use the same rules, e.g. allow Firefox for HTTP and FTP etc. However, I am not experienced enough to create a list with programs and their allowed rules.

I would look for a firewall program that is commiserate with your needs and your ability to configure it ... A NAT router would be better...

Here is available great FW tutorial for Vista from FW expert - Stem:

You can use it for Windows 7.

Im not sure how many of us actually use the built in win 7 firewall. I dont, but suspect the "rules" would be the same just where to put them in the built in firewall
