Unknown User account at Windows login

    Hello

When I booted up my Acer netbook yesterday, I saw two user icons shown on the Windows login screen instead of one. Aside from my own, the other user name was 'spcnywicl' - not a good sign.

I logged into my own account and removed the user in the 'User Accounts' section of Control Panel. Unfortunately it keeps coming back.

I ran regedit and did a search for the above username. It cropped up in

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows Search/CrawlScopeManager/Windows/SystemIndex/DefaultRules/7/

    The bottom entry was

    Name Type Data
    URL REG_SZ file:///C:\Users\spcnywicl\Appdata\*

Any thoughts on what to do next?

I currently have Eset Smart Security 6, by the way.

    You are welcome.

I can imagine how unsettling it must be to see account keep returning... especially if it had been weeks since you setup ESET. Your the 2nd member today that had this scare.
