Can you open the MSCONFIG inside command prompt

Type
Code:
MSCONFIG
And press [ENTER]

If the command prompt opens to path X:\Sources

Type
Code:
bcdedit | find "osdevice"
Note   Note
the | pipe symbol is the key above Enter . Hold shift down and press the key with \ on it

Press the enter key after you inputted the command . It will tell you the drive letter of Windows . It might say its os device partition=D:

IF so type in this command

Code:
D:\Windows\System32\msconfig.exe
Note   Note
If the OS device command says its C: Change the D: to C:

When you ran this command

" sfc /scannow /offbootdir=c:\ /offwindir=C:\windows " did you change C:\ to D:\ ? The command I had you type shows that The OS is installed in D:\

Your result was os device partition=D:

Yeah my OS is on the device partition D. I shouldn't change the partition then, I should keep it C?

Run sfc /scannow /offbootdir=c:\ /offwindir=C:\windows again but this time change the c: to d: and see what you get
