Go back to the same Command Prompt
Type: cd "c:\program files"
At C:\Program Files, type: dir
You will get another list. Is the Directory for AVG there?
Now type in: cd "c:\program files (x86)"
At c:\program files (x86), type: dir
Another list. Is there a Directory for AVG there also?
Need to go out for a while. Will be back in about an hour.
There is only AVG Secure Search. Alright man take your time.
The AVG files are already renamed. Let's forget about AVG for now.
What is the problem you are having to begin with?
Will the laptop not boot at all?
What HP Model is the laptop?
Do you get a message or anything on the screen when you try to boot?
