Is someone sharing Windows 7 with me?

When I got through with the whole process & clicked on "#," everything erased itself. I cannot get back to this until much later tonight.

There is no "select all" option on my "edit" drop down. I tried "copy," then "paste" (in the forum), but I struck out. There's something happening that I can't get this copied and pasted via any number of techniques we have tried now. My incompetence is at play, for sure, but I wonder if there is some really basic thing going on?
