It won't download inIE. Same virus - deleted message. Also, when going after ESET all I get is a blank IE screen which never resolves to a site- just the whirling circle on the screen.

Looks as if you will need to use Chrome. It should work.

To make things easier, let's change the download location for Chrome...
There are programs that need to run from the Desktop, like ComboFix, and others...

Click the Chrome menu. It is on the far right, and the button has 3 horizontal lines.
From the menu that appears, select: Settings
Go to the bottom of the page, and click: Show advanced settings
Now, scroll down to the Downloads section.

To change the default download location, click: Change
In the new prompt that appears, select: Desktop
Close out of Chrome, and open it again.

    It should be set.

Chrome users need to download and run a small utility file before starting the ESET scan.

You may get a prompt to that effect...

How about running Internet Explorer with “no-add-ons"

Open Start > All programs > Accessories > System Tools

Right-click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons), and Run as Administrator.

If the problem disappears, it could be caused by Internet Explorer add-ons....??
