It looks to be a free add-on with BD. It's a 'linkscanner' which sounds good, but sometimes such scanners can cause a small delay.

This will tell you how to disable it How to Disable bsserv , BitDefender TrafficLight Service

Do not download anything on that page, just follow the command instructions.

    Hi

I realize i was misleading when i wrote trafficlight , because in BD free av it is called http scanner and since i do not think they are handled the same way when it comes to inactivation i have not tried the way you suggested when i found it myself some weeks ago .

Anyway , as you can see i have changed the headline .

But , if you know for shure that it is the right way and also works on the http scanner i may try it out . Do you , know for SHURE i mean ?

I have tried to find some info on this subject on the net and on BD`s forum with no luck .

I had BD free av before but i uninstalled it just because of the slowdown , it was to annoying .

Is it listed as automatic in 'services'? If it is, right click on it, choose properties, then set it to either manual or disabled and stop the service. Click Apply and OK.

I guess that is a no regarding my question .

As i said i do not have BD anymore so i can not check it out in "services" , but as far as i remember how it was when i had it it only had one service so there where no choices there .

Anyway , i have decided not to give it a new spinn even if it would be possible to exclude the http scanner because it is still very buggy i see when i surf certain forums on the net .

Thanks for showing some interest in the matter anyway !

    pchb1 , over and out .

Hmm , i am surprised you even suggests it since it have performed so very bad in the major tests over a long period of time now .
They have even been excluded from the test groups nowadays as you probably know because of that so i would not ever go there .

I would very much like to run avast but my pc say no , and it is the boss , unfortunately .
So i am running Avira now and i am quite happy with that/them because of the good test results .

But if BD can fix all their bugs and still have the excellent test results in the future , i will change to it .
