Did you have SAS quarantine those threats?

Please try system file checker and disk check:

Right click on "Command Prompt" and choose to run as Administrator. Type or copy paste
    sfc /scannow
    press enter key

    Next,
do the same--> disk check. Copy/paste:

    chkdsk c: /f /r
    Press enter key

Download DDS from one of these links:
    DDS.com
    DDS.pif
    • Disable any script blocking protection
    • Double click the dds icon to run the tool.
    • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
      1. DDS.txt
      2. Attach.txt <--- will be minimized in the task tray
    • Save both reports to your desktop.

Include the contents of both logs in your next post.
The scan will instruct you to post Attach.txt as an attachment.

    vigneshraj,

Have you tried running MSE in Safe Mode?

    To get into Safe Mode:
Restart the comnputer, and tap the F8 key to get an Advanced Boot Options Menu.
    From there, select Safe Mode.

Next, run a Full system scan. Does it get hung up then?

On Jacee's suggestion to run chkdsk...

When you get to the Advanced Boot Options Menu, using the F8 key, etc., do you have the Repair your computer option?

If so, use the arrow keys to select the Repair your computer menu item.
Select your language settings, and click: Next
Select your User account and click: OK (If you did not set a password, leave blank.)[/list]

On the System Recovery Options menu you get the following options:

    • Startup Repair
      System Restore
      Windows Complete PC Restore
      Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool
Scan your computer's memory for errors.
      Command Prompt

Select Command Prompt[/list]At the Command Prompt, copy/paste (with mouse) the following info inside the code box, and press: Enter
    Code:
    chkdsk c: /f /r
Note: chkdsk (check disk) is a command that looks at the file system integrity status of hard disks.
It can be run from the Recovery Environment.
The following parameters modify the command as follows:
/f: fixes errors on the disk
/r: locates bad sectors and recovers readable information

If none of the above works, in addition to the DDS, please do the following:

    Download Farbar Service Scanner

    Save to the Desktop
    • Make sure the following options are checked:
      • Internet Services
      • Windows Firewall
      • System Restore
      • Security Center
      • Windows Update
      • Windows Defender
    • Press: Scan
    • FSS creates a log, FSS.txt, on the Desktop.
Please provide the FSS.txt in your reply. <<---

    Thanks!

    I attach dds files.
when i using "chkdsk" in command prompt through system repair option, it said "cannot lock current drive"
In safe mode MSE icon didn't active in system tray and also i am unable to open MSE through start menu(not respond).

I perform quick scan it detects one virus-proslikefan.inf
MSE insists me to perform fullscan but i hangs at sameplace.
    what i can do?

    vigneshraj,

Will you download and run the Farbar Service Scanner from Post #5?

It may give us a clue as to what is going on.

Nothing showing there as to why MSE would freeze.

Did you run sfc /scannow, as posted by Jacee?

    Try this approach...

    Boot to Safe Mode.

Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt
Right-click the Command Prompt, and select: Run as Administrator

At the Command Prompt, copy/paste (with the mouse) the following text inside the code box below, and press: Enter

    Code:
    @echo off
    rem delete old files
    del /q %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log
    del /q c:\sfcdetails.txt
    rem run sfc
    sfc /scannow
rem filter out non essential junk from the cbs.log
    findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log >c:\sfcdetails.txt
    rem open details in notepad
    notepad c:\sfcdetails.txt
rem optional command to shut down & restart pc after running. this may be needed if
rem sfc replaces some critical files. uncomment (remove the 'rem') to activate.
    rem shutdown -r
    exit
When sfc is done, a file named sfcdetails.txt appears.
Please save the sfcdetails.txt file to the Desktop, and attach it to your reply.

    Also, let's try the following...

    :info Open Microsoft Security Essentials
    Select the Settings tab
Next, select: Excluded files and locations
Use the Browse button to select C:/windows/system32/codeintegrity/driver.stl
    Click: Add
    Click: Save changes

    Restart the computer.

Run Microsoft Security Essentials and check if it freezes at any file.

    Let us know.
