I think the first thing one should do it scan those games and see if they really are infected. Avira just might be doing the job it should be doing.
You state the games come for your computer and a friends computer.
**Where did you and your friend get the games that you have on your computers and what method was used?**

Millions of people in the world use this.

    Is your games really clean?

That is correct and that's the first thing anybody should do. Layback Bear said it perfectly. Be sure that an application is safe. Avira might indeed be doing it's job there. I have Avira IS 2012 (no firewall / Backup ) and Emsisoft Online Armor Premium in one system and from experience Avira detection is very good. Been using Avira for 4 years now.

Be careful where to get your games. Be sure what you use from your friends are safe too. No amount of AV or security software will be enough if you continue to use "unclean-unsafe" games or application.

However, you can exclude those .exe that Avira detects as virus/malware but doing so goes the opposite of having a security application that does it job. No amount of security will be enough if you choose to run "unclean-unsafe" games or application. So be sure everything's safe.

If you choose to run MSE it's fine just scan any application first and do second-checking through Malwarebytes or Eset Online Scanner or other 3rd party scanners like Kaspersky / Norton.

So is your game really safe/clean?

If they are unclean and you run it for the sake of enjoyment then there will come a time that you will be stung and you'll have a virus that has mutated and gained access to your system...and may be difficult to clean.

Maybe sandboxing or virtualization might be good for you...Deep Freeze / Returnil System Safe / Shadow Defender...the lists goes on..but of course they are not freeware except RSS which has a free version.
