Apparently, at some point the system was infected with: Win32/Olmarik.AYZ Trojan
Let's make sure there are no remnants...
Please go to the TDSSKiller Download
Select the .exe version
Double-click on TDSSKiller.exe to run the program.
When the TDSSKiller console opens, click on: Change Parameters
Under Additional Options, place a check in the box next to: Detect TDLFS File System
Click: OK
Press: Start Scan
•If a suspicious object is detected by this program, the default action is Skip. Leave this action as is, and click on: Continue
•If malicious objects are found, they show in the Scan results.
Ensure Cure (the default action) is selected, then click: Continue > Reboot now, to finish the cleaning process.
(Note: If Cure is not available, select Skip, >>Do not select: Delete<<)
When done, the tool creates a log on the disk with the Windows Operating System, normally C:\
Logs have a name like:
C:\TDSSKiller.X.X.X_07.17.2013_15.31.43_log.txt
Please attach the TDSSKiller log in your reply.
Here ya go.
You are OK there.
Last, let’s check your Security status with the following...
Download Security Check:
http://screen317.spywareinfoforum.org/
Save to your Desktop.
Double-click SecurityCheck.exe
Follow the onscreen instructions inside the black box.
When done, a Notepad report opens automatically, called: checkup.txt
Please post the checkup.txt in your reply.
(Please do not take any corrective actions!)
And there it is.
You're good.
Run the system for a couple of days, and see how it goes. If you continue to have the same problem with MSE, post back.
Alright so, the MSE thing happened once since then, I was able to do a full scan after that though and hasn't happened since.
Other then that, I've had two bsod's since then. 0xf4 codes with the computer failing to make the crash dump. Its been doing that recently. The freezing issue with the computer in general still happens too, at startup but then clears up and I'm mostly able to perform as usual. Also been an issue with my network drive.
For all this, which forums should I go too?
To upload dmp files take a look at the link below
Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions
It will tell you what you will need to upload the dmp files and where to post .
No, you misunderstand. The actual files aren't being made at all. I checked the mini dump folder and all that was in there was old dump files from 3 months ago.
Anyway, I'm doing a chkdsk right now to see if its anything there. I'll make a new thread in proper area whenever I can tomorrow.
Open up an Elevated Command Prompt. Click on in type CMD . Right click on CMD under Programs (1) choose . On the User Access Control window click on the Yes button . Command Prompt opens up to C:\Windows\System32>_
