My IE 10 browser has been hijacked

Thank goodness I have the Chrome browser.
My IE will not open pages.
When I place my cursor in the address bar and enter any address (e.g.: google.com), the cursor jumps back to the beginning of the address and nothing happens.

I have done a full scan with MSE: nothing found
Ran ADW cleaner and I am getting a "clean" report.

    Thank you.

To be honest, that doesn't sound typical of malware, more a problem with IE. Try the following:

    1. Click Start
    2. In the search box, type cmd
    3. In the list that appears, right-click on cmd.exe and choose Run as administrator
    4. In the command window that opens, type sfc /scannow and hit enter.

Report the output from the command window once it finishes.

More detail: SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    SFC reports no problems

As the subject line states there were no problems found when I ran the command sfc /scannow.

I just clicked on the gear icon after launching IE and the "about IE" is grayed out so I am not even sure what version of IE I am working with.

    Again, thanks for your help.

My IE 10 is now working

I am not sure how my IE got messed up but while patiently waiting for a reply, I clicked on Internet Options-->Advanced-->clicked reset button. I am now using IE but won't mark this issue as solved until I hear from you.

Download DDS from one of these links:
    DDS.com
    DDS.pif
    • Disable any script blocking protection
    • Double click the dds icon to run the tool. <--Use IE to run this
    • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
      1. DDS.txt
      2. Attach.txt <--- will be minimized in the task tray
    • Save both reports to your desktop.

Include the contents of both logs in your next post.

FitbitConnectService is an unwanted service! .... it's connected with"Searchscopes", which is a browser 'hijacker'.

    Download AdWareCleaner AdwCleaner Download
or from here Téléchargements - Outils de Xplode - AdwCleaner
    to your desktop
1.Right-click on adwcleaner.exe and select Run As Administrator to launch the application.
    2.Click on Delete button.
    3.Confirm each time with OK.
4.Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart. Please post the content of that logfile in your reply.
Note: You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[Sn].txt as well - n is the order number.
