I just updated 7 with MS Essentials and it isn't monitoring.

During the process of installing MS Essentials, The CP Action Center popped up reading that something isn't being monitored.

    Hi Pro,

I believe this is a common issue that has not been resolved yet.

It showed in my Action centre for a while, but now all is fine.

If you know your MSE anti-virus product is installed and functioning correctly, Green a go, then
configure Security Center to stop monitoring anti-virus status. :)

I also just found this Microsoft Article with a Hotfix, may remedy the problem:

    Advice Pro,

If you want to make sure there is nothing 'more', than what meets the eye, please do the following:

Download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool
Select the version that applies to the system.

    Save to the Desktop.
    • Double-click the downloaded file to run it.
    • When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
    • Press the Scan button.
    • FRST64 makes a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory from which the tool is run (Desktop).
Please provide the FRST.txt in your reply.
The first time the tool is run, it also makes another log: Addition.txt
Also post the Addition.txt in your reply.

    Also, download Farbar Service Scanner

    Save to the Desktop
    • Make sure the following options are checked:
      • Internet Services
      • Windows Firewall
      • System Restore
      • Security Center
      • Windows Update
      • Windows Defender
    • Press: Scan
    • FSS creates a log, FSS.txt, on the Desktop.
Please provide the FSS.txt in your reply.

That's actually a normal popup message,
It's MSE disabling windows defender to install it's self in it's place,
Happen to me as well when they switched to the newest version a couple of weeks.. ago.
I guess I should add that it will go away after running a full scan :)
