Is It legitimate = SOPHOS PRODUCTS

Hi tech guys and gals. Has anyone come across Next-Gen Network Security: Firewall, Mobile, Web, Email, Endpoint Antivirus, Encryption, VPN, Server, Storage and Wireless Protection | sophos.com where all Sophos products are listed? Is this site security legitimate and reliable or not? Please don't discard this inquisition as I am far from totalling understanding or even knowing which security sites/software is legitimate and/or reliable. Don't even know how to test security stuff for that matter.

But like anyone else, I need to pick the right free tools I can depend on to SECURE my sensitive files from prying eyes in my work environment that encompasses quite a lots and involves open use of peers' computers.

Hope anyone would be kind enough to give me some pointers too beside this kind and humble "need-to-know" thing above.

Best regards to you all and God Bless,

    Zeamann.

Thanks so much ThrashZone for a quick response. I need a free version of 1 or 2 or more to choose from, encryption tools to secure certain folders and/or files. I ask for free versions since i got no credit card, being a born and bred islander in the pacific... Kiribati.

    Best regards and God Bless,

For security of files, take a look at TrueCrypt (TrueCrypt - Free Open-Source On-The-Fly Disk Encryption Software for Windows 7/Vista/XP, Mac OS X and Linux), it can encrypt and password-protect with a strong cryptographic cypher any file on disk. I would prefer this as you can use the files without decrypting them (only in RAM). No idea about Sophos for an antivirus, but I would opt for the more popular choices of Avira or Avast rather than it.
