Not too sure if Norton is fully compatible with the Pro version of MBAM, since it loads at boot and runs in the background to provide Malware protection in real time. Norton techs claim it does conflict with their software. Although, I've tested this theory and found no false positives.

Perhaps, some of the more experienced members will know more about this.

I would run the free version of MSE (I run the free version of Avast), crappy as it is, before I would run anything from Symantec, including Norton, even if it was free. What amazes me is people still recommend MSE even though it consistently gets poor ratings on AV reviews and an M$ employee admitted it was never intended to be a first line of defense and shouldn't be solely depended on.

I'm on Cox and, when I first started with them, I was offered the free McAfee. That is even worse than Symantec. I don't know what they use now.

I've used Norton Internet Security for 8 years, 0 problems. I have even run it alongside MSE for a science experiment with no issues.
