Any New AV Technology for 2014?

    Hey all!

I'm running Avast Internet Security and Malwarebytes Pro.

Have had zero problems, but my renewal for Avast comes up at the first of the year.

Just wondering if there have been any rumored latest technology from any of the manufacturers that might be worth taking a look at?

    Thanks,

    jack

Some ISPs provide free Internet Security with their service.

Comcast: provides Norton 360. Although, I don't use their Constant Guard. Slows down the PC. But, if you need the extra protection, then using CG is a trade off.

    ATT: provides McAfee.

    Otherwise, my free choice is:

MSE. Download Microsoft Security Essentials from Official Microsoft Download Center

    Don't know what Wss means?

If you have Comcast, Norton 360 is absolutely free.

First, you'll need to remove your old Internet Security by going to control panel, add/remove programs. You will most likely be prompted to reboot after it is deleted.

Here's the link. Note: A small banner will appear for installing CS first, select no thanks if you don't want to install it. Next select, Get in now. Follow the prompts. At one point you may need to sign into your Comcast account.

Thanks John. wss is supposed to be was.
Is there a time limit on how long it will run or does it run as long as you have the service?
Will it provide updates to new versions?
Finally, what if I have 2 machines?

LOL, I thought Wss was some type of texting abbreviation.

No time limit, Norton 360 is free as long as you have the Comcast service.

The software will automatically update, scan, and tune-up while the system is idling.

But, you can choose to manually update, scan, or run a tune-up anytime.

I am currently running Avast with Malewarebytes and Superantispyware with no issues.
Anyone running 360 with these programs? Problems?

I do and no problems, but I only use Norton real time protection the other two I use on-demand only.
