Windows 7 and Zone Alarm Pro - Watch it!

Right now, it appears even the latest version of Zone Alarm Pro (9.8.001) does not play well with the Microsoft Security Essentials.

If I have Zone Alarm with Security Essentials set to do Real Time protection enabled, anytime something tries to access the internet, my computer locks up. It seems to run fine if the Real Time is disabled.

The thread about the beta of Zone Alarm with Kapersky might be a better idea.

As I understand it, Win Sec Essentials, it does warn you to turn off any other anti-virus etc.

Win/Sec/Ess has it all you don't need any other spyware etc.

This version of Zone Alarm Pro 9.1.008 does not contain any anti-spyware or anti-virus in Windows 7. It turns off the Windows Firewall when installed, but does not seem to turn off Windows Defender or MSE, if you have installed that.

There is a possibility I suppose, that since the original product did have a spyware component, maybe they left something in that is causing problems with other anti-spyware.
