Malware scanner being shut off-fully or partial at times

    Hello anybody,

I have noticed that my Malwarebyte's Pro is sometimes shut off fully or partially. This sometimes occurs when I shut Windows down and sometimes when I am out browsing on the net. But this does not happen often, just occasionally.

I do have another virus scanner-Avast. I noticed when I had ZoneAlarm, it would shut Malwarebyte's down only when I shut the computer down, but being shut down on the net is puzzling to me. Again, this is rare but I thought someone would have an answer for this peculiar behavior.

I no longer use ZoneAlarm, but now use Avast and Malwarebyte's Pro.

    Thanks for anybody's time.

    Thanks for the reply.

I will check Avast support out. By-the-way, I do have the paid version of Avast, Just got it about a month ago.

    Thanks again for the reply.

For my two cents Kaspersky and the paid for MBAM do not play in the same yard so I just use the freebie.

You need to check with the Malwarebytes forum, not the Avast forum.

Ok mate I'll try it again as I still have the disk and this link is for the Pure which I wasn't using at the time and only used it for a very short period way before I bought the MBAM cos it was too convoluted for me.

    @dwdraw2
This thread is now marked as solved.
How did you fix your problem?
I've seen where MBAM real-time has issues like you described in post #1.
    Thanks, David

If you are referring to an "MBAM Pro" disk you have, you should not use it...it is probably an older version and you would have to do a Program Update after using the disk.
The latest MBAM download file is the same for MBAM free, MBAM trial, and MBAM Pro.

If you already have the latest "MBAM free" program version installed, you don't need to re-install...
The only difference is how a person uses the latest download file during or after installing...
If someone wants to try the "real-time trial", don't unclick the "Trial checkbox"...
If someone has a license and wants to use "real-time PRO", enter the license info after installing the latest version.
