What do you use TuneUp Utilities 2012 for?

EDIT ... right click on task manager, then 'start task manager' ... is Random.exe running in Processes?

I use TuneUp Utilities for its "1Click Maintenance", runs weekly, scans for registry errors, deletes temporary files, defrags the HD (if needed), removes broken shortcuts.

I don't see any process named random.exe

I think I may have found it...
I found Roozz Updater in the Windows Task Scheduler. It pointed to an executable in C:\Program Files (x86)\Roozz (I don't know why the folder didn't show up when I did a search for "Roozz" on the hard drive. Anyway, I deleted the task from the scheduler, and deleted the folder and its contents.

I'll check later and see if the task and/or folder gets re-created.

Good, delete the entire folder, (reboot) then let me know if you are still getting the pop-ups.

Also, once you've booted into 'normal' mode, is this alert gone?
Windows Security Center service is not running! This report may not be accurate!

Done. No pop-ups since. But it only seemed to happen once every few days (darn! I should've looked more closely at the scheduled task to know when it was to be repeated). Anyway, if I don't see it again after a week or so, I guess I'll consider it cured.

Yes, I Security Check again in normal mode, no alerts.

Let me know how it goes after a few days on the net. :)

Uninstall AdwCleaner
Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool again.
Click on the Uninstall button.
Click Yes when asked are you sure you want to uninstall.
Both AdwCleaner.exe, its folder and all logs will be removed.
