I think you misinterpreted my statement, I meant that only Microsoft can give out the invitations, you cannot just sign up for it.
but microsoft must have our email id to invite us.. ok lets forget it..
From what I've read so far only those who were in the Microsoft Windows 7 Beta Program (not everyone) are getting invites for now.

Though I could be wrong, but I go by what I read. Nothing more. :)

Microsoft Security Essentials 1.0 Beta?
I've been using Microsoft Security Essentials 1.0 since the day it was officially launched (Connect Beta Tester). I have been getting maybe 3 to 5 Updates daily if I manually checked for them but the updates would always be 5 hours behind from the time I checked for them to show up on Windows...
