Now, download and keep this program --> TFC by Old Timer TFC - Temp File Cleaner by OldTimer - Geeks to Go Forums and save it to your desktop.
Save any unsaved work. TFC will close ALL open programs including your browser!

Double-click on TFC.exe to run it. If you are using Vista/Windows 7 right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator.

Click the Start button to begin the cleaning process and let it run uninterrupted to completion.
Important! If TFC prompts you to reboot, please do so immediately. If not prompted, manually reboot the machine anyway to ensure a complete clean.

Smorton you will find that is a very good way of getting rid of stubborn software in any case stuff like some of the security removal tools leave behind and those wretched search bar that you cannot find with Revo or the Windows remover.

But a tip back the registry up when it is running sweet I always do when installing and the system is finally running tickety boo >
Start > type regedit > right click run as admin > click File > click export and ave it with a name of your choice and the date and where you like I always save mine to documents and a stick:)

But yo probably know this already if so put it down to an old fellows ramblings

I wouldn't ask you to do anything that I haven't used on my own computers.
I have helped to train many of these people who develop "good" programs during their 'tenure' as my anti-malware classroom students.

Smorton as a general rule in here as Jacee has indicated we would never get anyone to download any crap software in fact we spend a lot of time advising against some real rubbish ie reg cleaners power boosters etc etc ad nauesum

On gets an odd bit that is later found to be crap but it would invariably be unintentional as there is nothing to gain from being a ratbag:)

Nasty Adware - difficult to remove after many attempts
Hello everyone, first post here. I'm usually savvy enough to get rid of most viruses, but this bugger has been deeply embedded somewhere I can't find it. Essentially this adware does two things: whenever starting on the google homepage, a "secure" search will automatically pop up, redirecting my...

Force safe search in search engines
I'd like to force google (and other popular search engines) to use strict safe search for parental control reasons via the hosts file, so if anyone knows the correct ip address's/domains i'd appreciate it.

Search engines - Google & Windows search bar
When I search a file on my HD in Windows 7 or Windows XP it takes some minutes to finish the process. If I fill in a search term in Google, the answer is on my screen in milliseconds How is it possible for Google to search the Internet, which is many times larger than my hard drive, faster than...

Search Engines?
Hi, Have G Chrome's latest version on my newly installed W7 and G Chrome running on my Android, which are both synced. The 1st time after installing on my pc gave Chrome notifications like G Mail, Weather etc, some I unchecked but now get no notifications? Is it possible to revert back to...

Search Engines
Not exactly a browser or email question, but this seems like the closest forum for the question. APC on occassion offers a rebate for a particular UPS that I want, but apparently only by one vendor at a time, and only for a very short period. Both times that I have run across it, was too late to...
