Obviously you are using another computer/or other means to communicate with us ... look at this page to download a bootable "free anti-virus rescue disk" Free Bootable AntiVirus Rescue CDs Download List

This is the only thing that worked for me...

On a working computer download this file to a flash drive. https://www.sevenforums.com/attachmen...efault_exe.reg
Put flash drive in the broken computer, start -> computer -> flash drive. Right click the file (Default_EXE.reg) and click 'Merge'
After this it should work normally. You should also run an antivirus/malware scan as .exe association errors are commonly caused by malware.
EDIT - you may have to restart for the fix to take effect.

    Done!!

    It worked!!

Thank you so much for posting the details that worked for you. My son's computer was driving me insane and every other post I read had the same suggestion for removing the WMC. I used the flash drive link and it fixed the problem. Yeah!!!
