Hi there ..Windows Defender is disabled when you Install MSE .. So as long as that is working you have no problem
I would humbly suggest trying a different anti-virus. MSE places near the bottom/at the bottom of almost all A/V's. Even Microsoft itself recommends a third party anti-virus. Just click on the link to see what they say.
Microsoft Admits That Third-Party Antivirus Is More Effective Than MSE
It keep saying that both were off even when I had MSE "on" and it was effecting my Network saying that I had no internet connection when I was typing this online? I believe it was a MSE update because it was working fine Sunday 15 2013 night. I saw a couple of updates done for MSE So I just end up going back to system restore for Sat. 14 2013 an it's OK for now ? Yes I would need a good Antivirus to get.

Actually Microsoft said something else if you go further down the site as you see below:
"Update: Microsoft made a statement in response to the PC Pro article, saying:P
"We are committed to protecting our customers, and our Microsoft antimalware solutions provide strong, comprehensive defense against malicious code and attacks. We believe in these products and are proud of the protection capabilities we provide to well over 150 million computers worldwide." P
I use MSE and I have never had a problem nor any of my clients
I did. Used it for awhile thinking "who would know Windows better than Microsoft". After about 2 months I contracted a virus requiring a reinstall. I admittedly go to some pretty dodgy sites on occasion but Avast and Bit Defender (when I used that) both kept me safe. I MYSELF will never trust MSE again, but I understand that some people like it. To each his own as everyone has favorite's and I do run Windows defender on a semi-regular basis actually. But as a MAIN line of defense I cannot trust it. Perhaps MS was referring to their malicious software removal tool?
I don't want to get into a argument about A/V's because as mentioned elsewhere in the forums today, everyone has "the best" installed on their machine irregardless of the vender. Just stating my experience, your mileage may vary. ( my humble suggestion to the OP was just that, a suggestion)
You are entitiled to your opion as well as i am. An antivirus program in todays world is not enough protection, you need an antispyware program as well and you need to be careful where you go
I agree which is why I use Malwarebytes, Superantispyware, ADWcleaner in addition to my A/V. I do like to see whats "up" out there on the web which is why some of my "regular sites" are kind of dodgy and NOT recommended for noobs.
You can not use the same AdwCleaner that you downloaded earlier, over and over again!
The "New" definitions are constantly being updated... You need to
Remove/Uninstall AdwCleaner:
Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool again. Click on the Uninstall button.
Click Yes when asked are you sure you want to uninstall.
Both AdwCleaner.exe, its folder and all logs will be removed.
You can always download a fresh version from here: AdwCleaner Download
