How is the system running now? Are you having any malware problems?

    Please download Security Check:
    http://screen317.spywareinfoforum.org/
    Save to your Desktop.
    Double-click: SecurityCheck.exe
Follow the onscreen instructions inside the black box.

When done, a Notepad report opens automatically, called: checkup.txt
Please post the checkup.txt in your reply.
(Please do not take any corrective actions!)

This is a vulnerability you cannot afford to have:
    >> Java version out of date!
Please verify the version of Java you have installed.
If your version of Java is outdated, it needs to be updated.
    When done, uninstall older versions.

    Any more problems with ScorpionSaver?

I have Java Version 7. This is the latest version according to my updater.

I haven't had any problems with the ScorpionSaver. It doesn't appear on my programs list. Loos like its gone.

When my computer starts up, I get the following error message:

    There was a problem starting

    c:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Conduit\BackgroundContainer\BackgroundContainer.dll

The specified module could not be found.

Let's remove the BackgroundContainer scheduled task:

Please press the Windows key amd the R key at the same time.

In the Run prompt, Open area, type (or copy/paste): taskschd.msc
    Press: OK

In the Task Scheduler window, click on the folder: Task Scheduler Library
In the top area of Task Scheduler, right-click on the following task: BackgroundContainer
From the drop menu, Select: Delete
Close out of the Task Scheduler window.

Start the computer again, and see if the message still appears.

Please post back, and let us know.

Another one that can come in handy!

Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista, 7, or 8; instead of double-clicking, right-mouse click JRT.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Post the contents of JRT.txt into your next message.

download AdwCleaner by Xplode and save to your Desktop.

    • Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
Vista/Windows 7/8 users right-click and select Run As Administrator.
    • Click on the Scan button.
    • AdwCleaner will begin...be patient as the scan may take some time to complete.
    • After the scan has finished, click on the Report button...a logfile (AdwCleaner[R#].txt) will open in Notepad for review (where the largest value of # represents the most recent report).
    • The contents of the log file may be confusing. Unless you see a program name that you know should not be removed, don't worry about it. If you see an entry you want to keep, let me know about it.
    • Copy and paste the contents of that logfile in your next reply.
    • A copy of all logfiles are saved in the C:\AdwCleaner folder which was created when running the tool.

Using AdwCleaner v3: Scan & Clean:
Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool again.
    Click on the Scan button.
AdwCleaner will begin to scan your computer like it did before.
    After the scan has finished...

This time click on the Clean button.
Press OK when asked to close all programs and follow the onscreen prompts.
Press OK again to allow AdwCleaner to restart the computer and complete the removal process.
After rebooting, a logfile report (AdwCleaner[S#].txt) will open automatically (where the largest value of # represents the most recent report).
Copy and paste the contents of that logfile in your next reply.
A copy of that logfile will also be saved in the C:\AdwCleaner folder

download TFC by Old Timer TFC - Temp File Cleaner by OldTimer - Geeks to Go Forums and save it to your desktop.
Save any unsaved work. TFC will close ALL open programs including your browser!
Double-click on TFC.exe to run it. If you are using Vista/Windows 7 right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator.
Click the Start button to begin the cleaning process and let it run uninterrupted to completion.
Important! If TFC prompts you to reboot, please do so immediately. If not prompted, manually reboot the machine anyway to ensure a complete clean.
Here are the logs for both Junkware Removal Tool & AdwCleaner

Trojan:JS/Medfos.B was found ... this is a malicious JavaScript file. You need to update Java!

    • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 7u51.
Java SE - Downloads | Oracle Technology Network | Oracle
    • Scroll over to the right (JRE)
    • Click the "Download" button to the right.
    • Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
    • The page will refresh.
    • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
    • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
    • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
    • Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
    • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
    • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
    • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
