    The Mbam log and SAS log don't show any dangerous threats, but just to be certain - follow ThrashZone's lead

    The new information certainly does help (sheesh! I should have asked about other devices connectivity)

    See what changing the router does.

    How is your network configured?
    Provider adapter -> Internet
    or
    Router -> Provider adapter - > Internet

    If changing the router does not help, I suggest powering down all network equipment, waiting 10-15 minutes
    Power up router (if seperate), wait until lights stop flashing, then
    Power up Provider adapter (the device attached to the wall outlet)

    The adapter will sync up with the provider - this might take a few minutes (sometimes many minutes).

    Keep posting results - Thanks

    I am marking this solved, turned out to be an accidental turning on of my ISP's "maximum security" internet access profile.

    Thank you all very much once again, and sorry for wasting your time

    Thanks for posting the solution - it's not a waste of time to discover another reason that casues issues.

    Could you elaborate on the ISP and how to affect that setting?

    Thanks,

    Bill
