    What Causes This?

We recently got new computers at work with Windows 7 and I am using Internet Explorer v10 instead of Firefox. I have been seeing a lot of the words with the double underline which brings up a site with a mouse-over. These were not present on the old computer. Is there setting I can change to stop these?

You see these when you`re on the net right ?

It`s totally normal, I see them all the time, it`s not something you can change, it`s part of the web page.

Hard to believe you`ve never seen them before.

I may be wrong but I think that's one of these two Internet Options under the Advanced Tab.

I don't think you should be seeing those here if you are logged in.

You shouldn't see that on our sites logged in or out as we are not using inline text advertising to guests atm.

I suggest you do a malware scan and check for any dodgy browser extensions.

As has been said - you should not see them on this forum (yet?).

Does the "site" look something like this?

Thanks very much John and the others. I will run Malwarebytes.

I vaguely remember somebody last year getting something similar and it was caused by some packaged software from cnet or somewhere like that adding something to the browser but I cant remember any details.

I just ran Malwarebytes and there were 322 items removed. Plenty of PUP and PUG. I haven't seen any of the inline text since then. Hopefully that got rid of them.
