Unable to connect my windows 7 desktop sharing center doesnt even show

    Hello,

I have a older windows 7 x64 home premium pc, I have had no problems with the pc since I bought it in 2009. I use ccleaner and windows security but I am having connection issues. I have been trying for weeks different ways to repair it but have gave up and hope you good people can help me out.

I hope I have the correct forum I read in another that if I was having internet connection problems it would most likely be a virus/malware issue.

I have scanned my pc with advast and cleaned all I can from it only trojan it found was 1 named JS:Hideme-J I have tried all the netsh commands, checked options for the internet and even went as far to buy another Ethernet card which is giving me the same problems. And now when I open my pc from a restart my network and sharing center doesn't even show it is on and my internet connection looks as if it has been deleted all together and I cant even see my Ethernet cards.

I really cant tell if this is a virus situation or a hardware issue and need some guidance on this. When I trouble shoot the cards they both read in working order and I always have just 1 running while the other is disabled trying to figure out what is going on. Any help even help is saying I may need a new pc is appreciated so I can just take this thing out back and get rid of it.

    Thanks in advance
    ~Jend

Sounds like you're havingthe same problem as another person on the forums, Try following his thread in the mean time then hopefully someone will assist you with your problem.

I'm sorry it couldn't be me, but here is the link.

I have read the forums before I had Posted I had tried everything except for the code cottenball had written for this persons pc. And that was strongly expressed just for his pc and not to use.

That thread referenced a nasty piece of malware.
When you say that you tried everything in the thread (except for the custom file), did you mean that you ran all of the malware scanners or just did the network steps?

If you haven't already, try running the ALL 3 tools in post 6 on that thread to get you started. - that one post contains 3 tools that might show more threats or clean up your system enough to allow you to focus on the network.

It's very odd that you cannot see network and sharing - so it's a good guess that something else is lurking.

Post your resluts of the scans here. Thanks

If more scanners are needed, let a member guide you.
